Mike Lupica’s hyperbolic style, well suited for the sports pages, falls flat when he discusses public affairs in hisĀ column on November 6. That’s because, despite his loud denouncement of Herman Cain, Lupica is flat wrong when he asserts that Cain is “nothing more than the tool of David and Charles Koch.” How he imagines this is so, Lupica never explains. We haveĀ stated publicly on numerous occasions that we have not formally committed to supporting any presidential candidate. Cain’s views on fiscal responsibility and growth are certainly impressive and Lupica would do well to take a closer look at the connection between economic freedom and the renewed prosperity our country so badly needs. No matter how many adjectives he uses to support his opinion, Lupica would do better by sticking with the facts.
